This tour is designed for those with a special interest in Buddhism. We take you on a religious journey that explorers the holy Buddhist shrines of Bouddhanath, Swoyambhu and Namabouddha and the austere monasteries of Pharping and Kirtipur all the way to the birth place of Lord Buddha – Lumbini.

Brief Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive transfer Short tour of Boudhnath. Drive to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel Overnight

Day 02 Early morning sunrise from Dhulikhel. After breakfast visit Namaboudha
PM. Tour of Kathmandu City, And Swoyambhuna
Day 03 Morning Flight to Lumbini
PM: Tour of Lumbini.
Day 04 Fly Back to Kathmandu.

Day 01 Meet upon arrival and Transfer to Hotel. Afternoon tour of Boudhnath. At the end of the tour, drive to Dhulikhel where you will spend a night.
Boudnath Stupa: lies about 6 km to the east of downtown Kathmandu and is the largest stupa in the valley. It looms 36 meters high and present one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design. Boudhnath a world heritage, is also known as Khasti. There are more than 45 Buddhist monasteries in the area.
Dhulikhel: The Hill resort of Dhulikhel lies 32 Km to the east of Kathmandu on the Arniko highway that leads to Tibet. In the old days, Dhulikhel flourished as s trading center handling commerce between Kathmandu and Lhasa. Today, it delights visitors with its enchanting cultural heritage and stunning Himalayan views.

Day 02 Early morning sunrise from Dhulikhel. After breakfast visit Namaboudha
Pm. Tour of Kathmandu City, And Swoyambhunath
Namaboudha:- The place is revered by both Nepalese and Tibetan Buddhists. The stupa is located on top of a hill about 3 hours drive from Kathmandu and also offers good views of the mountains and Kathmandu valley. It is said that Buddha is one of his incarnations was a prince and while hunting found a tiger and her cubs starving. The prince cut off his own flesh and fed the tiger and her cubs. There is a stupa and bronze plaque which describes this. Many buddhist pilgrims from all over the world visit this place on their pilgrimage.
Kathmandu City: Durbar Square complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square, protected as a UNESCO as a world heritage site, is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also museums inside the palace building.
Swoyambhunath Stupa: Watches over the valley from the top of a hillock on its western side. The stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swoyambhu is also known as Sengu and is listed as a World heritage site.

Day 03 Morning Fly To Lumbini. Lumbini Sightseeing in the afternoon.
Lumbini: Listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO, Lumbini is being developed with international support as the supreme Buddhist Pilgrimage and a symbol of world peace. The Sacred Garden where the Buddha was born, converges on the Ashoka Pillar which carries an inscription identifying the spot as the birth place. The serene tree shaded lawn is dotted with bricks mounds- ruins of ancient stupas and monasteries.

Day 04 After breakfast fly Back To Kathmandu. Pm Tour of Pharping Monastery And Kirtipur.
PHARPING: According To Legend Padma Sanbhawa The Great Buddhist Sage Meditated In One Of The Caves In Pharping. There Is A Small Buddhist Monastery And Many Buddhist Still Visit And Spend Days Meditating In The Caves. Pharping Is About 45 Min Drive from Kathmandu.
Kirtipur (Pop 35000) is situated on a ridge 6 Km southwest of Kathmandu. The ancient township is a natural fortress and has a proud and courageous history. The Chilamchu stupa and the temple of Bagh Bhairav are major sights here. Kirpitur offers quaint streets lined with artistic houses and temple squares. The people are known for their building and weaving.

a) Bhutan is a Buddhist state where power is shared by the king and government. The country's name locally means Land of the Dragon. In Bhutan, thunder is believed to be the voices of dragons roaring. In about 1200, a monastery was set up called the Druk (Thunder Dragon) with a sect called the Drukpas, named after it. The name of the dragon have been associated with Bhutan ever since. The dragon on the flag is white to symbolize purity.
b) Darjeeling (Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council) in northeast India provides the perfect ambiance of a hill resort with its mild climate and laid back charm. Its verdant hills and valleys are steeped in color, and are interspersed with vast stretches of lush green tea gardens. Presiding over all these is the 8586m Mt. Kanchenjunga looming over the northern horizon, giving a magical aura to the land that entices thousands to its environs and leaves all the senses intoxicated.
Sikkim is a landlocked Indian state nestled in the Himalayas. It is the least populous state in India. Sikkim is geographically diverse, owing to its location on the Himalaya. Kangchenjunga, the world's third highest peak, is located in the northwestern part of the state on the boundary with Nepal, and can be seen from most parts of the state. Sikkim is a popular tourist destination for its culture, scenic beauty and biodiversity.
A trip to these places and a detailed exploration of the town and its surroundings is a fascination experience, where each and every building reflects the rich historical and cultural background of the area.
c) Tibet has long enjoyed the reputation of being "the Roof of the World", with an average altitude of over 4,000 meters. This is a land of snow-capped mountains, deep tropical rainforests and open pastureland. Its treasures include Mt. Everest - the highest peak in the world on the Tibet-Nepalese border, the winding Yarlung Tsangbo River, ancient ruins, palaces, monasteries and a deeply religious cultural heritage.
